The Lowndes Bar & Kitchen can be found in the chic boutique Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, a short stroll from Knightsbridge's fashionable stores including Harrods and Harvey Nichols. The interior is modern and sleek with a relaxed atmosphere and is emphatically an all-day dining venue kicking off with breakfast, 'passing coffees', ladies who lunch, afternoon snacks, pre-dinner cocktails and full blown dinners.
The seasonal menus have been created by Executive Chef Martin Gabler who offers a modern British cuisine with a twist. Impeccable ingredients are sourced with care and the menu features signature dishes such as chicken liver pâté with crispy toast and plum chutney amongst the starters or Buccleuch Estate pure beef cheese burger, fries, onion rings, tomato and onion relish for a main course. Desserts provide plenty of choice in the shape of an indulgent chocolate tart with hazelnut ice cream or a traditional bread and butter pudding, whisky soaked raisins and vanilla custard. There is an international wine list with offerings by the glass and if the weather is kind there is also elegant dining on the patio.
