Review on The Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill, Ramside Hall
Formerly the home of the Pemberton family, Ramside Hall was transformed into a country hotel in 1963 and is now the North-East's largest privately owned hotel, complete with its own golf club.
The newly opened luxurious Rib Room Steakhouse & Grill serves an extensive French 'brasserie' style menu offering a wide range of delicious, meat, fish and pasta dishes with steaks being the house special. The Rib Room has a unique 'Meat Locker' where diners can see the exceptionally high quality of cuts of fine Durham beef which have been matured for twenty-eight to thirty-two days.
Pembertons Rôtisserie and Carvery also provides hot food at lunchtime and in the evening, while Sunday lunch is something of an occasion to the accompaniment of the hotel's Palm Court Trio.
