Review on Franco's Restaurant
A converted forge on Enniskillen's waterfront is the setting for the Sweeney family's long-running restaurant. For more than 20 years, they have pleasing the punters with traditional pizzas and pastas, although the most interesting stuff is on their 'special menu' of vibrant, eclectic dishes.
Local lamb and beef, Glenarm organic salmon and shellfish from Donegal all find their way into the kitchen, and the range of specialities extends to Thai fishcakes, smoked duck salad with honey and mustard dressing, monkfish with chilli butter and Asian rice, and stincotta (slow-cooked Italian ham hock) with a confit of vegetables.
