Standing in a quiet corner of the village overlooking the lake, the Grand at Grasmere, formally known as the Gold Rill Country House Hotel is a personally run country house hotel set against a backdrop of awesome hills and fells. It boasts two acres of beautifully tended grounds, complete with a heated outdoor pool and a private pier.
Dining takes place in the Cafe Grand, a relaxed environment with stunning views over the lake and Cumbrian countryside, it's an all day affair with flexibility as its hallmark. Using the very best of seasonal produce, the menu offers a series of small and large plates, ideal for sharing or taken as a traditional two or three course meal. Whether eating in the restaurant where you can watch all the action of the chefs at work in the open kitchen, or outside on their lovely terrace, the menu caters or all tastes and budgets.
