Review on Gasthaus Backmulde
Situated at the heart of Heidelberg's old town, the Gasthaus Hotel Backmulde serves both traditional and modern cuisine. Back in the 17th century, the building was used as a sailors' hostelry, but the Backmulde is now home to some wonderful hospitality and fine cuisine, that will simply delight you. On the menu is a selection of German and French cuisine, which is carefully prepared and attentively served. Dishes include char in a potato crust served on a bed of spinach, or ratatouille lamb and a bean ragout served with thyme gnocchi. The restaurant is within easy walking distance of many of the town's famous landmarks, including the castle, the Heiliggeist church and the Kurpfälzische Museum.
