At the start of the last century, Anna Koschke opened her hostelry in Krausnickstraße in Berlin Mitte, and the Anna Koschke café still bears her name. Besides the normal teas such as Darjeeling and Earl Grey there is also Green Tea, Vanilla and various other blends. There is a limited choice of food available, but the dishes on offer are delicious. The stew of the day makes a pleasant change and real alternative to the kebab/burger/pizza/lahmacun monotony. Particularly in term time it is sometimes very difficult to find a seat in the Koschke. In the summer, the Anna Koschke presents small theatre performances in the pretty green courtyard.
