The house special is the 'Wangen Legend', a choice of Swabian specialities: Allgäu herb fritters, Schupf (local village) noodles, Maultasche (Swabian Pockets - pasta squares filled with meat and spinach), small rump steak and roasted onion. The produce used to create these Swabian delicacies for the Gasthaus Lamm is sourced for the most part from the Lake Constance island of Reichenau. In owner Franz Christberger's opinion, the ingredients from a good meal don't need to have travelled half way across the world before being served to your table! In fact, there is good reason why you will always see the lamb from Wangen in Allgäu highly recommended on both the radio and television.
