Review on Lakeside Restaurant at Chevin Country Park Hotel
Chevin Country Park stands in the centre of the invisible triangle that connects Harrogate, Bradford and Leeds. At the very heart of its 50-acre estate is this Scandinavian-style hotel built largely of Finnish pine – the largest log building of its kind in Britain.
The centrepiece of the hotel is its Lakeside Restaurant with its lofty gallery level and a feature window overlooking the water. Menus are ambitious in style, taking in dishes such as char-grilled asparagus with truffled hollandaise, sea bass with basil mash and pesato, and desserts including lime cheesecake with Horlicks ice cream.
