Review on The Cristal Room Baccarat
The stunning Cristal Room Baccarat is set in the former dining room of Marie-Laure de Noailles in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Famous designer Philippe Starck, whilst retaining the original design has performed his magic to give the necessary touch of modernism and daringness. You will feel like a celebrity as you walk down the bordered red carpet that lights up, before entering the magnificent dining room, with painted frescoes and crystal chandeliers.
The kitchen has been entrusted to Michelin star chef Guy Martin who with Baptiste Trudel have created a menu of modern, perfectly executed dishes of exceptional taste and quality. Witness, duck foie gras roasted in five flavours and seasonal fruit or peas in the balm, mozzarella Di Buffala and crunching wasabi. While mains take in cod roasted in four flavours served with summer vegetables in tempura or calf veal roasted in fraiches almonds, stewed by chanterelles in herbs. Desserts are delectable creations such as wild strawberries in a pastry case of sugar, compote of rhubarb in the vinegar of poppy or chocolate crémeux guanaja, sweetness frozen in the Matcha tea.
If you have time before or after dining, The Baccarat Museum which is also housed in this prestigious mansion is well worth a visit.
