There's not a smithy in sight here on the site of this old forge! The only aroma wafting from the kitchen comes from the roasts skilfully prepared by the Chef specially for diners. Delicacies include Schmiedetopf which consists of medallions of pork fillet and rump of beef, roast leg of venison or roast leg of lamb served nice and pink. Service at the Alte Schmiede (Old Forge) is friendly and courteous and staff are able to advise on the perfect choice of wine. A reduced price lunch menu is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with a special Sunday lunch menu on offer too. Plus there's a bowling alley for anyone who fancies trying their luck. Otherwise guests can sit back and relax in the recently renovated rooms at the Alte Schmiede.
