Review on Water Palace
A beautiful glass wall water feature is one eye-catching feature of this aptly named Chinese restaurant not far from West Drayton.
The menu roams far and wide taking in all the regional favourites and classic dishes such as sesame prawn toasts, Cantonese-style roast duck with soy sauce, and stir-fried beef with ginger and spring onions. Baked lobster with noodles is a speciality and it's also worth exploring more esoteric dishes like marinated shin of beef in Chinese liqueur with preserved vegetables, double-cooked pork with cabbage in spicy sauce, and black pepper king prawns.
Vegetarians are offered a decent choice, including deep-fried beancurd with shredded vegetables and sea-spice aubergines in 'red hot' chilli sauce. Finish with a toffee apple and banana or try the strange-sounding crispy fried milk (a custard which is fried once it has set).
