Review on Bar Bodega
Bar Bodega regarded as a gem of a bar and restaurant is situated on The Parade in Watford, looking out onto a small green it appeals to an older and more discerning clientele. Step inside to a cosy and welcoming atmospheric room with rich red walls, heavy drapes, deep comfy leather sofas, as well as traditional tables and chairs. Antique mirrors adorn the walls and the large fireplace features flickering candles with an impressive display of melting wax.
Cool nu-jazz music plays softly in the background and they also hold popular live music evenings.
The kitchen prepares an excellent selection of tapas and sharing boards and is well known for their delicious Sunday lunch menu. Typical dishes on the menu include Piri-Piri grilled chicken skewers; cod and pancetta fishcakes; smoked spicy sausages with garlic aioli or taramasalata with warm pita bread. Guests who visit between 5.00 and 8.00pm and choose one of their tasty sharing boards receive two glasses of bubbly for free! There's an extensive wine list, speciality beers and a cocktail menu together with friendly and attentive service.
