Review on Cast Iron Bar & Grill
Ensconced within the modern Leeds Marriott Hotel Hotel, Cast Iron Bar & Grill is an upmarket steak house situated just two minutes walk from Leeds Rail Station and opposite the Trinity shopping centre. With siblings in fashionable cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Prague and Copenhagen, the Leeds sibling is decked out in warm hues, with a stylish setting featuring plush banquette seating and dark wood tables. It is accessed through the adjacent, contemporary stool lined 1871 Bar & Lounge, serving signature cocktails and fine wines its perfect for a pre or post dinner drink.
The kitchen sources top quality produce for its menu of succulent steaks, chops and seafood. Kick off with a starter of seared beef carpaccio, Arugula, Parmesan, shallots and olive oil before your choice of American USDA Black Angus steaks such as beef tenderloin or beef rib eye, all served with fries. Seafood fans might opt for fish and chips served with tartare sauce and pea puree or maybe the salmon steak. When it comes to desserts who could resist the New York Cheesecake with mixed berry compote and whipped cream or the chocolate torte, accompanied by vanilla sauce and chocolate shavings.
There's an excellent international wine list to complement the menu and service is amicable and welcoming.
