Review on Buscando el Norte
Buscando el Norte is a very popular tapas and wine bar that was launched in 2014, located near Plaza España, in the north of the city of Palma. Inside it has a retro-industrial chic décor, with exposed stone walls, one lined with a large bookshelf full of books and bottles of wine. A cosy and buzzy ambience with wooden tables set on chequered flooring, it also has tables outside for al fresco dining.
The kitchen presents a tempting array of well presented tapas dishes in the shape of tuna tataki with guacamole, corn chips, and salad on a yellow garlic sauce; cod au gratin on rice in squid ink and lobster toast; octopus with potatoes and foie gras with white chocolate sauce and prawns. For a sweet finale there's delice chocolate with oreo or white chocolate pannacotta with mango and peach.
Friendly service, and a wine list that keeps its prices in check together with a well-crafted cocktail menu ensures a happy clientele.
