Review on Restaurante Urbano
Having closed their popular restaurant El Patio located just outside Andratx, well regarded chefs Jens Krumbiegel and Emmerich Reutter have opened a new venture called Restaurante Urbano in upmarket Port d'Andratx, just steps away from the Marina. Inside the restaurant is decorated in pale colours with walls displaying contemporary artwork, while tables set on tiled flooring are prettily laid with candles and flowers.
The kitchen turns out creative dishes, artistically displayed along the lines of tuna fish served Sashimi style or you could opt for their metre of tapas starter for two, which proved so popular in their former restaurant. Follow on with medallion of hake, lemon caper crust and green Vichyssoise or you could opt for the baked duck, carrot ginger cream and Asian vegetable salteado, finishing with a delicious Mojito trifle.
Jens wife Manuela Aichinger ensures everything runs smoothly at front-of-house, and is on hand to help you select a suitable wine to accompany your meal from the extensive wine list she has compiled.
