Review on Röski
Röski restaurant is set on a mainly residential street in Liverpool's historic Georgian quarter, just a short walk from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. The driving force behind this must-visit venue is Anton Piotrowski, joint winner of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2012 and former Executive Head Chef of Michelin-starred Treby Arms in Devon, together with his partner Rose Allegra who is in charge of front-of-house.
Röski which is a combination of their two names has taken over the former Pushka premises, and it has undergone a stylish refurbishment. The building has a double glass frontage and adopts a minimalist décor, grey banquettes are set against smartly laid tables with crisp white napery on herringbone wood flooring. There's pretty flower arrangements around and chic bronze light fittings and lamps give a contemporary edge to the room.
Piotrowski presents a finely accomplished tasting menu with a carefully balanced choice of innovative dishes, strongly tied to the seasonal availability of top quality ingredients. Accompanying the food is a well conceived wine list, that also has the option of wine pairing with the dishes.
Röski is also featured in: Michelin Guide, Hardens
