Review on Rookery Hall
Rookery Hall, in the heart of Cheshire, is a magnificent Georgian mansion is set in 38 acres of gardens, wooded parkland and meadows bordered by the River Weaver. You may think that you have arrived at a French Chateau, but the welcome is genuinely northern.
At Rookery Hall, you can enjoy an intimate meal in one of the private dining rooms or the magnificent Victorian Dining Room which is the perfect setting for a candle-lit dinner.
Beneath the beautifully decorated ceiling in the magnificent mahogany-panelled restaurant, you will enjoy the superb cuisine prepared by Chef, Mark Walker and his brigade. The décor is quietly opulent, the service discreetly attentive, and the food exquisite.
The kitchen prepare everything personally from the home-baked bread rolls to the ice cream and sorbets. They have built up special relationships with suppliers they know they can trust to provide only the finest ingredients, which they use to create dishes that are as exciting as they are mouth-watering. They are all passionate about the dishes they create and prefer to produce food that is simple, seasonal and flavoursome. This allows the quality of the natural ingredients shine through.
To accompany your meals, you can choose from a wine list that includes fine and rare wines as well as favourites from the old and new worlds.
