Review on Le Baudelaire
Le Baudelaire is the Michelin starred restaurant housed in the luxurious Hotel Burgundy which opened in 2010, located in a quiet street close to the Les Champs Elysées, Place de la Madeleine and Place Vendôme. The restaurant welcomes guests in a warm and elegant setting overlooking an idyllic patio.
Typical offerings on the carte are starters of sautéed Scottish creel caught langoustine, cauliflower mousseline and pomegranate or maybe smoked, then seared foie gras from Vendée, marinated mushrooms and a red wine sauce. Main courses usher in saddle of venison from Sologne or slow cooked native lobster, green asparagus from Mallemort and blood orange. Proceedings conclude in style with Grand Cru chocolate from Ecuador, sea salt shortbread and crispy tuile or Mandarin marmalade, snow egg, iced chestnuts parfait.
