Review on Chez Françoise
Chez Françoise, near the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower, opened in 1949 as a fine dining restaurant serving traditional French cuisine and is today a popular destination for French Members of Parliament who use it as their 'local'.
The menu follows the seasons and Chez Françoise source produce from the Paris markets so typical offerings on the carte might include cannelloni with courgettes and fresh goat's cheese or maybe red tuna tart with shell fish and fig garnish followed by mains of pan fried scallop of calf's liver, parsley jus and fricassee of seasonal vegetables. There's a fine selection of cheeses from the trolley and to finish, desserts such as pineapple in rum syrup garnished with sultanas. Service is charming and on Sundays there is children's entertainment to keep the little ones amused.
