The Copper Horse is an award winning restaurant situated in the pretty village of Seamer, just outside Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast. It's part of the HQ collection of family-owned pubs and restaurants which also includes the popular Mayfield Hotel, Pub & Carvery in Seamer, The Plough Scalby and Yew Tree Cafe & Bistro in Scalby.
A stylish restaurant with a contemporary edge, the friendly staff offer guests a warm and attentive service in a relaxed ambience. Renowned for its excellent food, The Copper Horse is proud of its reputation for its seasonally inspired menu of wholesome home-cooked food. The varied and crowd-pleasing menu includes a weekly specials board, plus a fantastic early-evening dining offer of 2 and 3 courses, offering outstanding value for money. It's a perfect location for drinks with friends, a casual dinner or special occasion, as well as lunch at the weekend.
Typical options on the carte include prawn and smoked salmon served with lemon mayo, guacamole and chive oil or chicken liver parfait with caramelised onion chutney and toast among the starters. When it comes to main courses you might opt for one of their succulent steaks reared in Yorkshire and supplied by Glaves of Brompton Butchers, they are cooked in a charcoal oven and served with triple cooked chips, flat mushroom, roast vine tomatoes and your choice of sauce. Elsewhere there's beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas, tartare sauce and lemon or a classic steak and ale pie with mash and gravy. Make sure you leave room for one of their delicious desserts such as salted caramel Eton Mess with raspberries or sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and toffee sauce.
There's outside heated seating and well-behaved dogs are welcome in the bar. The Copper Horse can also offer guests luxurious self-catering holiday cottages located in Seamer village, should you wish to extend your stay and explore the area further.
