‘Big, bold and noisy’ is one view of this long-serving Chinese restaurant, which has established its place as one of the top Cantonese venues in the city. Inside, it’s a grand, opulent place with seating for 300, a grand piano and tropical fish tanks adding to the atmosphere.

Sunday lunch is a sell-out, when Cardiff’s Chinese community descends on the place en masse and others come from miles away to enjoy the array of tantalising morsels. The Cantonese tag means that seafood is a strong point â€" so steamed whole sea bass with ginger and spring onions, deep-fried squid with chilli, honey-glazed prawns and so on, backed up by spare ribs, crispy aromatic duck Cantonese roast chicken and other staples of the repertoire.
