To understand the philosophy of Cantina is to know its owners. It all began with an appreciation for the way Mexican food is traditionally prepared. Unique by comparison, long before four walls were built, the inspiration for Cantina 1511 was born far from Charlotte in a place called Oaxaca, Mexico. Co-Owner Frank Scibelli, traveling on one of many trips to the region, became inspired to bring genuine Mexican cuisine to the Queen City. Against the backdrop of bright bold accents, the Southwestern style and colors of Mexico blend effortlessly to create the perfect atmosphere at Cantina 1511. It's the perfect place to enjoy drinks outside, a sumptuous meal in a cozy booth or entertain large groups of guests.
