Review on Le Petit Nantais
Le Petit Nantais is is noted for its relaxed ambience, a popular neighbourhood French bistro that has been a durable feature of the Hampton Court Village for a good many years. This is a family run operation serving traditional French fare with a contemporary twist, in a light and airy dining room.
Menus changing regularly in tune with the seasons and there's a daily special board reflecting the very best of local supplies, but popular offerings on the carte include Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée, French style onion soup with a crust of croutons and cheese or Escargots à l'aïl, snails cooked in garlic butter with white wine and cream. Main courses take in Filet de BÅ"uf sauce au poivre ou vin rouge, Filet of beef with a pepper or rich red wine sauce and French Fries or Moules à la Crême, fresh mussels cooked in white wine cream and garlic butter. There are traditional desserts to finish with crème brûleé or Profiteroles au Chocolat.
There's a well thought out French wine list to accompany the food and look out for their special music nights.
