Review on Celler Can Amer
Alongside the market square In the centre of Inca you will find the restaurant Celler Can Amer, it is one of the oldest 'cellers' (wine cellar) on the island dating from around 1700 but was converted and opened as a restaurant in 1963 to become consistently, one of Mallorca's top 'award winning' restaurants, most recently 'Best Wine List on Mallorca' 2006.
The place oozes history and atmosphere and is the backdrop to age-old family recipes interpreted with the sophisticated and refined eye of Tomeu Torrens, while home grown vegetables, meats, and many other products, ensure the highest quality ingredients are available. Among her favourite repertoire you'll find suckling pig, shoulder of Lamb stuffed with aubergines and sobrasada (spicy pork sausage), seafood frito, confit of cod with olive oil and all sorts of homemade desserts.
The magnificent wine list covers just about every wine produced on Mallorca and that alone makes Celler Can Amer worthy of a special journey.
