Review on Hogarths Stone Manor Hotel
Discreetly situated in 25 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and grounds two miles from Kidderminster, Hogarths Stone Manor is an imposing Tudor-style building that has established an enviable reputation as a country house hotel.
Fine dining takes place in an intimate beamed dining room overlooking the grounds. The kitchen works to a seasonal repertoire with modern European overtones: begin with crab tortellini and watercress cream with preserved lemon, then move on to breast of pheasant with butternut squash risotto or halibut with tomato gratin, crispy pancetta and pine nut relish. To finish, try one of the inviting desserts - hot chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream, for example. Classical flambéed dishes are a speciality of the house, and the wine list offers a broad international spread.
