Review on Restaurant Alexander
The Alexander restaurant is located in the charming family owned Hotel Seeburg, an impressive historical property in the outskirts of Luzern. This is an award winning restaurant having come first in the gourmet category of the Swiss Gastro Awards and has been recognized for its excellence by the Club Prosper Montagné. The décor is very elegant with beautiful oak interior adorning the walls designed by the award-winning architects, Scheitlin-Syfrig from Lucerne.
The restaurant welcomes its guests with creations such as Muotathaler beef fillet with Hollandaise tonka beans, served with roasted potatoes, and asparagus mousse, poached freshwater fish fillets from the local fishmongers, with ginger and coconut crust and a saffron flower mousse on a bed of red Camarque rice and baby flat leaf spinach. There's an enticing selection of artfully displayed desserts such as Toblerone-Millefeuille, layered pastry cake with cream, made from either white, milk or dark chocolate Toblerone mousse with a fancy strawberry Carpaccio. There is an impressive wine list that brings together some great wines from around the globe.
There are spectacular views of the ebb and flow of Lake Lucerne, behind which, you can see the impressive backdrop of the soaring Pilatus mountain. If you fancy arriving in style, there is a boat landing stop in front of the hotel.
