Review on Le Boeuf sur le Toit
Le Boeuf sur le Toit is one of the many brasseries owned by the Flo group in Paris and is situated a short walk from the famous Avenue de Champs Elysées in the the 8th arrondissement. It first opened in 1922 and has moved a total of five times before settling at 34, rue du Colisée in 1941 and over the years has played host to a number of famous faces. The beautiful art decor restaurant has oak wood panelling, paintings sculptures, photos and an immense mahogany bar. Tables are well laid with crisp white linen, Limoges porcelain crockery and silver cutlery.
A feature of Le Boeuf sur le Toit is the fresh seafood counter displayed on crushed ice as you enter the restaurant and their fantastic seafood platters are always well received. Carnivores are not forgotten either and you might choose duck breast in honey and ginger or grilled Hereford rib steak served with Bearnaise sauce and gratin dauphinois. Finish with a traditional mini Rum Baba and whipped cream or crêpes Suzette, flambéed in Grand Marnier.
