Review on The Old Mill Inn
A converted corn mill at the ‘gateway to the Highlands’ is the setting for this flexible, family-run, family-friendly inn with rooms, The Old Mill Inn at Pitlochry. Food and refreshments are served throughout the day, seven days a week, and there’s loads of space, both inside and out (including a children’s playground and barbecue).
Aberdeen Angus steaks (12 different options!) and fresh fish are the main attractions, but the kitchen tackles everything from haggis, salmon and venison to Italian antipasti and pizzas, Tex-Mex specialities, curries and Thai dishes â€" not forgetting desserts like apple pie and peach Schnapper.
Thursday night is ‘Hot Highland Buffet Night’, when you can eat as much you like for around a tenner. Above the inn is the Grain Store Bistro, which offers food with a broad Scottish accent.
