Ai Gondolieri is a well regarded restaurant in a quiet area of Venice near the Guggenheim Museum and the Academy Galleries. The restaurant is charmingly decked out with wood panelling and well laid tables with crisp white linen, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The kitchen turns out traditional Venetian fare with a menu that focuses on meat, which is unusual for Venice. Ingredients are of a good quality and dishes on the imaginative menu are artistically displayed. There is an excellent wine cellar of Italian wines with over 250 references. Service is polite and attentive adding to the whole experience.
