Review on James Joyce
The James Joyce in Zurich is a typical Irish pub with an authentic and historic feel. The décor is reminiscent of a Dublin pub with its wall tiles, Irish paintings, racing green leather chairs, and its beautiful 19th century Art Nouveau bar is considered worldwide as one of the most beautiful bars.
The food menu has homemade burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips and on Saturdays their baked meatloaf with fried eggs is a big favourite. The James Joyce also serves other European dishes such as scalloped beef tarter, salmon and roast beef. There is an extensive wine cellar of 1000 bins and 20 wines are served by the glass, together with 12 different beers such as Murphy's Irish Stout and a wide variety of whiskies. The restaurant area can seat 60 people and is complemented by a terrace with a summery look, which can seat another 40 people.
