Review on Pi Shop
Pi Shop is an upscale pizzeria opened by the Sanchez family in July 2016, located next door to their Michelin-starred Casamia restaurant in Bristol. Set in the listed Victorian building that housed the former General Hospital, it offers stunning harbour views over Bathurst Basin from its small terrace. Inside it has a casual relaxed vibe with a clean cut white décor, featuring simple wooden tables and chairs. There's an open kitchen with an impressive copper-clad wood-fired oven where you can watch your pizza being prepared.
Their delicious soughdough pizzas, Napoli styled have picked up the Best Pizza award in the Bristol Good Food Awards 2016. There's a small selection of classic pizzas including Margherita and Hawaiian, as well as their speciality range which changes fortnightly including offerings such as Nduja, burrata, roasted red pepper, rocket and pine nuts without mozzarella. Desserts come courtesy of a Carpigiani soft-serve ice cream machine imported from Italy, with an ever changing range of flavours using seasonal fruits.
Pi Shop has a concise wine list of four reds, five whites, a rosé and a sparkling wine, together with a seasonal cocktail menu and beers.
