Review on Roganic
The much-lauded Roganic which started life as a 2 year pop-up on this very street in 2011, returned to Marylebone on the 9th January 2018. Simon Rogan of the two-starred Michelin L'Enclume in the Lake District has taken over the premises that until September 2017, housed French restaurant L'Autre Pied. The dining room adopts a minimalist and contemporary flair combined with brushed copper walls and wood-shaved chandeliers, while Marcel Breuer inspired Cesca chairs are set against tables laid with crisp white linen.
Diners can expect dishes that are intriguing and original with unique combinations and technical flourishes, produced from impeccable seasonal ingredients including produce from their own Lake District farm. There are two tasting menus on offer, a short and long version with options for wine pairing, as well as a set business lunch.
The wine list is global, although Europe figures prominently with France leading the way, and there's also several choices available by the glass, together with Cumbrian beers and gin. The front of house team come with an impeccable pedigree, ensuring that the service is both welcoming and knowledgeable. The restaurant was a proud recipient of a Michelin star in the 2019 edition of the Guide and was also awarded four AA Rosettes.
