Review on La Braseria
La Braseria is part of the Calvari small group of restaurants, located just outside of Pollenca on the roundaout of Can Berenguer. A lovely traditional stone building with a rustic décor, it has a large outdoor covered terrace for al fresco dining.
Open all day from breakfast, the kitchen makes excellent use of the Josper charcoal oven for cooking its dishes with fresh ingredients sourced locally. There's a large selection of tapas on offer such as poached egg with Iberian ham, bonemarrow au gratin with toasted farmers bread or from the sea, grilled octopus with hummus and tubers and charcoal grilled mussels with romesco sauce. Elsewhere there's beef tenderloin or their lamb dishes are always a popular choice, and if fish is your preference there's charcoal grilled salmon, all served with their special garnish. To finish enjoy creamy chocolate with vanilla ice cream and passion fruit or crema catalana paired with coconut ice cream and sesame.
To accompany the food there's Mallorcan wines, cocktails and a gin menu.
