Review on Tokyo Sukiyaki Tei
Tokyo Sukiyaki Tei located on fashionable Sloane Avenue in Chelsea is the first London outpost of the Marbella restaurant which opened six years ago. The restaurant which takes inspiration from French colonial architecture is a vibrant affair decked out in vibrant tones of red, blue and cream with heart-shaped mirrors adorning the walls, it sets out its stall to be a very romantic affair.
The kitchen mixes first-class ingredients from different countries with Japanese cuisine creating a fusion of flavours. The menu reads well with starters like Angel Eyes, grilled fresh foie gras, ginkgo in special miso broth to start followed by a main course called Moon Light in Sloane Avenue, marble grade 9 Wagyu beef catching white truffle with S.D.A soy or Let Me Try Again, fresh spicy cod roe linguine oscietra caviar. To finish who could resist beautifully presented desserts such as Stars In The Night, chocolate terrine and green tea cream with fondue chocolate sauce or You Make Me Feel So Young, black currant sorbet, plum sake jelly in mango soup.
