Review on Barrowboy & Banker
Situated on the south side of London bridge in front of Southwark Cathedral, what a great way to make use of an old bank!
Complete with plenty of marble, brass and even a chandelier, the Barrow Boy and Banker captures many assets of the great British boozer - with an extra helping of style.
Chef Matt Zielinski uses fresh seasonal produce, and offers an ample home cooked repertoire of traditional favourites.
The fresh pies range from Steak and Fullers Ale to Wild mushroom asparagus and brie. Beer battered cod and chips, and imaginative variations of the Ploughman's and more are served up with all the trimmings. There is also a children's menu and a selection of lighter options.
For an average spend of around ten pounds you can eat, drink and be merry. There is also a useful private party facility for up to 250 guests.
