Review on Passy Mandarin
Passy Mandarin is a very popular Chinese restaurant that has been operating since 1976 in the refined 16th district of Paris. This is a beautiful oriental dining room with big picture windows, intricate carved wood chairs, large artwork, luxurious silks and well-dressed tables.
The menu includes all the usual Chinese stalwarts such as Peking duck, shrimp rolls with mango, shark fin soup, fillet of beef and a few surprises like pork spare ribs with laurel flowers and young pigeon sautéed with vegetables. Desserts could feature a delicious Beignet of flambéed coconut ice cream, freshly steamed egg gateaux, coconut delicacies or maybe a Thai flan with coconut milk.
