Review on Sinabro Restaurant
Sinabro is a delightful French restaurant situated on Battersea Rise that has proved to be a resounding local success. It's the first solo restaurant from husband and wife team Yoann and Sujin, who have been wooing their customers with their finely executed French cuisine with Korean influences since they opened Sinabro back in 2014. Sujin is in charge of the smiling service, while Yoann is in the open kitchen preparing the dishes, having honed his skills in a number of noteworthy restaurants including Michelin-starred Taillevent and Le Meurice in Paris and London's, Hélène Darroze at The Connaught and Galvin at Windows.
It's an intimate pared back space seating just 20 diners, with most of the seats at the counter where you can engage with Yoann. Sinabro offers a good value set lunch, as well as the a la carte menu, and a five course tasting menu with the option of wine pairing. The concise menu kicks off with cod brandade, beetroot purée, Lilliput capers, buckwheat and sesame before moving on to a main course of beef striploin served with broccoli, Chantenay carrot, girolle, pear purée and bulgogi sauce. There are tempting desserts to finish witness strawberry, orange and Cointreau bavarois, strawberry jelly, almond and meringue or rice pudding, matcha, caramelized pistachio and mango sorbet.
